Shay & Bug
FOUNDER
Canine Nutritionist & Day Care Manager
Shay holds a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Bioscience and is a Member of the Royal Society of Biology (AMRSB). She also holds a Level 5 Diploma in Canine Nutrition (ISCP), with additional diplomas in Animal Welfare, Canine Care in IMDT Professional Day care and Boarding Management, and Canine Health and First Aid. Her academic background is complemented by a BA in Marketing and Business, giving her a strong foundation in both canine science and business leadership.
For nine years, Shay successfully led the London branch of Lucky Paws. She now also oversees the running of our Surrey Day care, ensuring the same high standards of safety, enrichment, and care are upheld. Alongside her work at Lucky Paws, Shay also offers specialist nutritional consultations through Organic Dog Kitchen, giving owners access to tailored, science-led feeding advice.
Her combined expertise in canine nutrition, welfare, and management continues to be central to Lucky Paws’ growth, bringing together scientific insight and real-world experience to provide the very best for every dog.
Kate & Harvey
FOUNDER
Veterinary Physiotherapist, Behaviourist and Trainer
Kate, a co-founder of Lucky Paws Doggy Daycare, is a certified Veterinary Physiotherapist and Dog Behaviourist with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Physics and a PgD in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Her professional credentials include membership in the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT), INTODogs, the International Companion Animal Network (ICAN), the UK Behaviour and Training Charter, Pet Industry Advocacy International, and the Pet Professional Guild UK (PPGUK). Recently appointed as Chairperson of INTORescue, Kate has a significant impact on animal welfare globally. With over 25 years of experience in behavior and rehabilitation, Kate brings a wealth of knowledge to her role, expertly addressing the varied needs of dogs at our daycare.
